My name is Ann Murphy. I am a healer, writer, grandmother, craftswoman, painter and founder of the Gaia Method Earthways. A system of planetary healing.
I have been writing all life, but when I was going through a spiritual awakening, in the early ’90s, my desire was to be a channel for spiritual truths and information that would help humanity out of the mess it had gotten itself into. I learned how to develop psychically, to connect with my Soul and, over time, I found I could indeed channel.
Early on, I told my guides that I was not interested in any channelling that began with the words ‘Dear Ones’. I wanted straightforward information that was practically and emotionally applicable, information that would make sense. I didn’t want any airy-fairy sentiments that made no sense and which were not in any way helpful.
Thankfully, they listened.
One morning I woke up with a story in my head. Half asleep, it was as if I was describing the events to myself. It felt so real, like watching a movie. I felt all the emotions, heard the character’s thoughts and saw the world in great detail. It was the story of a young pioneer girl who fantasised about going to Canada to become a writer, but who witnessed the murder of her mother by her drunken father. I have no idea why I was writing that, but as I woke up properly, I realised I should probably write it down. I got up, found paper and pen, and wrote down what I could remember. I had the bones of an entire story, which only needed fleshing out.
That was in 2006.
I began to receive more stories, and then longer ones. The stories became chapters. I noticed that these chapters followed each other in a sequence. Even if there had been several months between each one, they made absolute sense, chronologically. I ended up with many chapters for a number of books. But one book seemed to stand out, and that one I focused on, for a while, even though I was still receiving chapters from the other books.
I eventually settled on another one, which became three, and those I am still working on. It was the one with the most energy; one I could cut my teeth on. The one I really want to write, has to wait until I have learned more about writing techniques.
I have kept all the stories; they are the seeds of future books. I see them written, and published, in a line into the future. If I have that much time left. I am now sixty!
So now, I focus on writing and healing. The original, healing-humanity channelling has shifted into fiction, which I love, but if you are interested in reading some of that channelling you can do so here.
As I was writing this, a short prose/poem came into my head, a direct message from my Soul:
“I am a soul-singer and crystal weaver, weaving my way through the worlds between Heart, Mind and Soul.
I look through the prism of consciousness and see vast worlds unending, unfolding and bending, like light through water.
I am a mermaid, swimming in the depths of human consciousness, ready to do battle on their behalf, so that they can grow into the humanity I know they can be.
My life is a joy, a struggle, a battle, and a rest, and these things make me who I am. So if you dislike my words, when they whine or whinge, you are welcome to seek another flowery bower of prettiness, with all my good wishes.
We all seek that which we need. Who am I to judge?”
